Holds a Teaching and Education degree from Universidad de Los Lagos, an MA in Linguistics from Universidad de Concepción and a PhD in Applied Linguistics from University of Liverpool, United Kingdom. She has taught English at elementary, secondary and tertiary education. She is currently working at Universidad Andrés Bello where she teaches modules on Second Language Acquisition and Teaching Methodology at the Master’s Programme Enseñanza del Inglés como Lengua Extranjera. She also supervises BA and MA theses at this University. Her main research interests are related to L2 oral production/development (learning & communication strategies), teaching and assessment of L2 speech production and discourse analysis of L2 communication.
